One of local residents, Endah Sri Wahyuni ​​admitted that the cheap market has been very helpful, as the prices of basic necessities are lower than those in general markets.

"This cheap market is very helpful because apart from the affordable prices, the location is also close, making it easier for us to shop," she said, Monday (5/18).

Endah hopes that cheap market activities can be held regularly, especially at the beginning and end of the month or after people receive their salaries.

"I bought soy sauce, sugar, and various other household necessities. Everything was available and affordable. Hopefully, this cheap market can be held regularly," she hoped.

Meanwhile, Head of the Economic and Development Section of Bangka Urban Village, Kristyawan Sutriyanto, said that the high enthusiasm of residents was inseparable from the socialization that had been carried out previously to the community.

"Residents were very enthusiastic," he stated.

A number of food commodities were sold at affordable prices during the event. Chicken eggs were sold for Rp 26,000 per kilogram, five kilograms of rice starting at Rp 60,000, and various other food items were also sold at affordable prices.

"We hope this affordable market will further assist residents, especially given its proximity to residential areas. Besides its affordable prices, the food sold is also fresh and of good quality," he admitted.
